The maps are based on NOAA:n GFS-forecastmodels, they are calculated models so realized weather can can depart significantly from the forecasted.
GFS-forecastmodels are updated 4 times a day, so are also our maps. We generate the maps generated once NOAA's superduper-computers has get the models runned and released.
All times on maps are Zulu-times, thats same as GMT/UTC-time. In Finland during summertime you must add three hours to that and during normal time you must add two hours.
Tip: You can also control the animation with the rollmouse.
